Billed each month
- Everything in the full course, at every level.
- Pass one level and carry on to the next on the same plan: switch level in Settings and your plan is rebuilt for the new exam.
- Cancel any time in Settings. You keep access to the end of the month you have paid for.
- Not tied to one exam sitting: it covers every sitting you stay subscribed through, a resit included.
- The tutor is part of the plan, with a fair-use limit of 100 questions a month, which starts afresh each calendar month.
Lifetime
£499 once
One payment
- Access to the service and updates for every level, until you pass. Levels I, II and III, for as many sittings as it takes, with no further payment.
- Everything in the full course at every level — exactly the same as monthly, including the tutor's fair-use limit of 100 questions a month.
- Pay once. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Yours for as long as we run Charta Learning, and it stays yours after you pass.
Prices are set in pounds sterling, with VAT included where it applies. Outside the UK they are shown in your own currency where we can tell what it is: exactly, where a plan has its own price in it, or as “about” where it is converted at the day’s European Central Bank rate. Checkout shows the exact amount, and you can pay in your own currency.
Start free, with no card: sign up, take the diagnostic, and choose a plan later from Settings or when you reach a paid feature.

Common questions
- How does the free trial work?
- Choose “Start the free trial” on this page, sign up, and verify your email: the trial begins as soon as you are verified. Or sign up free and start it later from the app when you want it. For 7 days you get the whole course at every level, with 10 tutor questions and 3 marked essays. No card is asked for, and you get one trial for each exam and each email address.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- Nothing is charged, ever, unless you choose a plan. You go back to the free tier and keep everything you answered. We email you the day before it ends, in case you want to keep going. You can buy monthly or lifetime during the trial too.
- Which levels does it cover?
- Levels I, II and III of the CFA® Program, on the 2027 curriculum.
- What happens when I pass a level?
- Once the next level is available, switch to it in Settings and set your new exam date; your plan, practice and mocks move to that exam. Both plans cover every level, so nothing about what you pay changes. Your progress on the level you passed is kept.
- Does a plan cover one exam attempt?
- Neither plan is tied to an exam date or to one attempt. Monthly keeps working for as long as you pay for it; lifetime keeps working with no further payment. If you resit, nothing changes — change your exam date in Settings and your plan is rebuilt for the new one.
- How is the adaptive plan worked out?
- From three things you tell us — your exam date, the hours you can study each week and your level — and your answers. Each topic gets time in proportion to its weight in the exam and how far you are from mastering it, and the plan is worked out again every time you open it. The home screen shows the working.
- What is spaced review?
- Practice finds what you do not know yet. Review finds what you learned weeks ago and are about to forget, and brings each outcome back at roughly the point you would otherwise lose it.
- How do I cancel?
- Monthly: Settings → Manage subscription, on Stripe’s page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep everything to the end of the month already paid for, and there is no partial refund of that month. Lifetime: there is nothing to cancel.
- What is the refund policy?
- If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have 14 days to change your mind about digital content. Because access starts immediately, starting to use the paid material counts as asking for it to begin at once, and the 14-day right ends when it does. If something has gone wrong with a charge, write to admin@charta-learning.com and we will look at it properly. A lifetime purchase refunded in full ends the access it bought.
- Can I invite a friend?
- Yes. Your invite link is in Settings. A friend who signs up through it gets more free practice from the start, and once they have paid and 14 days have passed, you get a free month: a month’s price off your next bill if you are subscribed, or 30 days of full access if you are not. Invite terms.
- Can I switch from monthly to lifetime?
- Yes, from Settings. Your monthly subscription then stops renewing at the end of the month you have already paid for, and you are not charged for it again.
- Who am I paying, and is VAT included?
- Payments are taken by Stripe, which sells as merchant of record: it is the seller for your purchase, issues the invoice, and handles VAT or sales tax where you are. Prices include VAT where it applies. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us.
- Can I pay in my own currency?
- Yes. Prices are set in pounds sterling. This page shows them in your own currency where it can tell what that is, from your device’s time zone: exactly, where a plan has its own price in your currency, or as “about” where it converts at the day’s European Central Bank rate. Checkout then shows the exact amount in your currency, at a rate fixed for the checkout, which can be slightly above the “about” figure, and lets you pay in it with local payment methods where they are available. You can choose to pay in pounds instead.
- Is this endorsed by CFA Institute?
- No. Charta Learning is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CFA Institute, and is not a CFA Institute recognised prep provider. It is a study aid, and nothing here is a promise that you will pass.
